PRODUCTION AND PURIFICATION OF SYNTHETIC OLIGONUCLEOTIDES (AUTOMATED CHEMICAL SYNTHESIS)

DESCRIPTION

Using DNA synthesizer, oligonucleotides are produced from phosphoramidites following the programmed sequence on a solid support. The oligonucleotides are purified by TLC, FPLC, and HPLC and submitted to quality control by labelling and electrophoresis.

Automated production of oligonucleotides is crucial for Genetic Engineering and the development of diagnostic methods with probes and PCR.
