Clone grid window:

The last type of window in ACeDB is the clone grid window which provides a graphical representation of the gridded filters used to locate clones by hybridization.

* Double-click on the Clone_Grid class in the main ACeDB window.

The filters are listed in the Main Keyset window.

* Use the template search facility in the main ACeDB window to locate the filter Y28-36.

This filter has been entered in the database and is not listed in italic type.

* Double-click on Y28-36 in the Main Keyset window.

A graphical representation of the filter appears in a new window.

Note: some of the buttons in the upper part of the window are visible only on colour and greyscale screens.

Individual clones bound to the filter are represented by boxes layed out in the same pattern as the clones on the filter. The `LABEL' box shows where the filter was labelled to help orienting the filter.

When Map mode is highlighted, double-clicking on a clone box either brings up the physical map window centered on the corresponding YAC clone, or a text window with the name of the YAC clone if no clone was gridded at this position.

* Use Quit in the pop-up menu to close the clone grid window.
