Quartet-Puzzling This is a method based on the analysis of quartets of sequences.  The best four-taxon tree is constructed from every possible combination in a dataset.  Then a 'puzzling' step is used in order to construct a tree from the complete dataset.  The final tree is a heuristic approximation.  On the internal nodes it is possible to place values from the puzzling step, which indicate the number of times it appeared during the puzzling process.  These values have been shown to be very close to bootstrap values, at least for a few datasets.
